Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is from a multi-cultural family. Her birthplace was within South London. She has a mother who is English while her father is Nigerian. She was born in the south London Council Estate, and then went to The Brit School aged 14. In London she attended The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was obtained. She was a part of various stages during her high college days, such as the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe started her acting career in the film Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared as a guest for Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's debut film role was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), with Colin Farrell. She then appeared in Elisha, an episode of the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In the same time, she starred as Ollie in six episodes each of Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi who was the leading character in the ITV2 comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe was also the title character in How to lose friends & betray people and be apathetic, which premiered on Sony Pictures Entertainment back in 2008. Some of her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her US debut on The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show aired just two episodes on The CW, and was eventually cancelled. The actress was selected in February 2011 in the role of Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Following her appearance as a regular on the first two seasons it was announced in May 2013 that Madekwe would leave the show after her appearance on the first episode of the third season. From 2014 until 2016she appeared in Salem in the role of Tituba. Madekwe wed her actor boyfriend Iddo goldberg in June 2012. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl They have also collaborated in tandem on Salem and Iddo Goldberg had part in the show with her. the show on TV.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actor who was raised by an extended family. She was the daughter of Roy and Patty Leggat. Her four older brothers were also present including twins Todd & Bram, Brett & Rob. Ashley's athletic brothers were avid baseball players during the summer months and hockey during winters. Ashley could never walk, however she did dance. As she was two and a half, she began Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley discovered a love for dancing shortly after she joined the Baby Ballet. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions of tap, jazz hip hop, ballet Acrobatics, Lyrical Musical Theatre and pointe until she graduated high school. Top soloists at important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, were all awarded to Ashley.
