Anita Saarkessian

Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian/American media critic, is also a public speech writer. She is the founder of Feminist Frequency the site which features video and posts analyzing the portrayals of females in pop culture. Anita Sarkeesian a Canadian American media critic. Sarkeesian has a Master's degree in the field of political and social thought at York University. As a public speaker, she is extremely sought-after and has given talks at TEDxWomenXOXO and the United Nations Broadband Working Group. Feminist Frequency was founded in the year 2009 by Sarkeesian, university student who has been interested in issues concerning gender and feminism for a lengthy time. As of 2009, this ebullient young woman was slammed online for launching a website that focused on the gender of videogames.
