Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah, an Indian actress and musician, is best known for her roles in Tamil and Malayalam films. Annayum Rasoolum was her Malayalam as well as Tamil debut. The actress made her debut in Tamil with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah comes from an Anglo-Indian origin. She was born to a Madras High Court attorney. Her younger sister works as a Belgian research assistant who works in Leuven. Jeremiah was born as a child in Chennai. He went to National Public School. After graduation, he studied at Women's Christian College. Andrea was a young classical pianist who was also an avid geek. Young Stars was the Jackson Five-style group that Andrea joined after turning 10-years-old. It led to her first professional singing experience and early music composition. She performed as a stage performer at her university and participated in several productions through The Madras Players, EVAM and other theatre groups. She was also an EVAM Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea started her career in theatre with Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. Andrea was in the lead role with Shiva as a leo advertisement for coffee in the year 2006. She also was a part-time actress in a series that was broadcast on Podhigai. She has performed across India. She was in a small role during the climax of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). Gautham A. Menon invited her after she had performed in the film Vettaiyaadu, to perform as a leading female on Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea is Kalyani in the film which is a remake of James Siegel's novel Derailed. The husband of the character is involved in an affair with her and is blackmailed by her husband. Andrea got the part of Kalyani following Simran Shobana Tabu and other actors were approached. This film released in early 2010 The film was released in early 2010. as part of Venkat's Mankatha in 2011 in which she starred alongside a variety of actors. The actress made her Malayalam film debut with Rajeev Rathi's Annayum Rasoolum in the year 2013.
